Our client is looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to lead their Private Client department. They need a Private Client fee-earner (5+ years PQE) to run their own caseload but have responsibility of managing and running this department, as follows:
You will play a vital role in managing their team, bringing out the very best from your team with enthusiasm, drive, team spirit and a genuine belief in providing the best service you can for your clients in what is often a highly stressful time of their lives. You will be covering the following Private Client areas:
Powers of Attorney
Assisting the Elderly Client
Trusts and Estate Planning
-Hold monthly department meetings to discuss business development / marketing ideas, targets, new matters, workload
-Encourage your team to achieve monthly targets (individual and departmental)
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
-Qualified fee-earner (Solicitor or CILEX) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this legal area
-Experience of managing staff
-STEP qualification would be an advantage
Candidates may apply for Directorship after their 3 month probation as Head of Department.
Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum and increases (after 2 full years) by one day per year to a maximum of 30 days; they also close the office over the Christmas break and this period is fully paid (whether a Bank Holiday or a day of work, no need to use your holiday). In addition, they offer a discretionary one day of paid birthday leave for each employee for the purpose of celebrating his or her birthday. The leave aims to give the employee a ‘day off’ on his or her birthday or to form a ‘long weekend’ immediately before or afterward. This leave does not form part the employee’s annual leave entitlement.

The auto-enrolment pension scheme is a 4% employee contribution plus a 4% employer contribution.
Salary 60K+ per annum.
